I'm sorry, but do you not understand that when you say things like, 'pre-poo' and 'low-pooing' it makes you sound like an idiot? You really can't type out shampooing? Really? My gosh, I'm glad my time isn't so short that I can't type out a few more letters in my long instructional posts about hair care.

Randomly, one of the Wii dance games has 'Let's Go To the Mall' by Robin Sparkles on it. That cracks me up.
Also, randomly, I watched I Am Number Four today and felt like I was watching Roswell meets Smallville. The only good thing about it was Timothy Olyphant. The rest was meh. Yet, I'd still watch a sequel if one ever came out. Anyway, and then I saw who wrote it and laughed and laughed and laughed. Al Gough, Miles Millar, Marti Noxon. Wowsa.
Ooo! I finished knitting all the pieces to my first sweater earlier this evening! Yay! As soon as the sleeves finish blocking, I can start to sew it up. Not really looking forward to that, because I suck at the Mattress stich somewhat. Although the seam will be inside, and not really visible. I hope. Eek. I really hope I don't end up with one sleeve longer and one side hanging funny. Maaaaan.
Ooo, the second. I made my own knitting needles. Because I am awesome. Seriously, those things are ridiculously expensive once you factor in all the damn sizes you need for all the different patterns, and then the different kinds: straight needles, circular, double pointed. Socks. So, I did like some people said online. Get a gauge guide with the holes, go to the dowel section, get the ones you need that fit through the appropriate holes, snap/cut them at the right sizes. 7 inches for DPN and 10 for straight. Sharpen the ends with an ordinary pencil sharpener, about as sharp as a pencil with broken lead, sand them down--a lot, and repeatedly-then stain/paint and lacquer them. They suggest beeswax, but all I could find at Michaels, Joann's, and Hobby Lobby, were the giant blocks, so I went with varnish instead. I stained mine, sanded some more, then varnished them. Let them dry a long while, and voila.
I also have a circular needle set with switchable needles. Way handy, but expensive. I got it with a coupon for40% off or something, and 25% off entire purchase, so instead of $75, I paid somewhere around 20, I think. It was a while back and I bought other things with it, so I'm not sure what the specifics were. And, you care, obviously. *eyeroll*
I did a coffee rinse on my hair for darkening/highlights/softness/shine and, no matter how many times I wash my hands, they won't stop stinking of coffe, which, for some reason, smells like nicotine on my fingers. Since I stopped smoking 11 years or so ago, this is nauseating to me. I wonder if lemon juice will help? ... Fake lemon juice does, in fact, help the teensiest bit. Then hand sanitizer again. Didn't help before, but it does a little now. But it's still there once all the other smells fade, including lotion. It's noticably fainter though, so that's good.
I also used some coconut oil afterward, which is supposed to be the best thing ever for hair and cooking/health. We'll see. My hair is really dry, so I'm hoping the oil will help with that and the extreme frizz.
This random crap brought to you by the letter Annie and the number Jeff, and also by the letter sex.
